Who am I? The "crazy iPad guy" or the "math dude" if you ask some students; others think I was put in school to melt their brains with difficult learning tasks and Project Based Learning activities. Either way, I'm a passionate educator who wants to help your child become their best.
Professional Information:
I have spent the last 16 years of my life working in education, and the past 22 years working with children. I attended Newman University and earned my undergraduate degree in Education. After 5 years of teaching I completed my graduate degree in Instructional Design and Technology from Emporia State University. I taught fifth grade for 14 years and was both an assistant and head wrestling coach with three different schools at the varsity level. For the past two years I have worked as the STEM facilitator here at Winget Park Elementary.
Personal Information:
I have been happily married for 17 years. My wife, Amy, is a miracle worker. She manages to work in a very professional environment that can be extremely demanding then be a great mom and wife. Our two daughters Abbie and Kylie are very involved with school, church, and competitive cheerleading. While it isn't the type of sport I grew up playing or coaching, their dedication and hard work have made me a huge fan of the sport! They are two different characters, but they definitely help bring out the best in me.
